Since 1960, the adventure of the Casabianca canning factory, based in Biguglia, has been continued by the 3rd generation to bring you the best of Corsican flavours, with traditional preserves such as Corsican foie gras and wild boar terrines.

Michelle and René Casabianca opened their canning factory in 2010, producing traditional wild boar terrines and Corsican foie gras. The family business - Conserves Corsica - dates back to 1960 in Pietranera, with Michelle Casabianca's great-grandfather, and was passed down from generation to generation to her grandfather and father.

For the past 14 years, Michelle and René have been working in the production laboratory in Biguglia, south of Bastia, producing preserved wild boar, quail and duck foie gras terrines with flavours such as Muscat du Cap Corse, myrtle, chestnut and fig. All pâtés have been replaced by terrines in 2018.

Artisanal Corsican foie gras from Conserverie Casabianca is made using traditional methods, with IGP ducks from the South-West (Protected Geographical Indication), guaranteeing exceptional quality and a unique taste. Discover the authentic flavours of Corsica through carefully prepared products.

Corsican terrines: traditional recipes revisited

The wild boar terrines and foies gras are prepared using local ingredients such as Muscat du Cap Corse, chestnuts and myrtle. Since 2018, the Casabianca canning factory has expanded its range with innovative recipes, while respecting the family traditions handed down for three generations.

Quality without preservatives or food binders - Video RCFM

The Casabianca canning factory selects its raw materials for their quality, using 100% French meat with no preservatives. All the animal parts are used to make a natural product, with the pork fat adding creaminess, and the thick pork shoulder and bardière giving a better appearance and avoiding the use of food binders.

RCFM visited the cannery's premises to find out more about the world of canning, whose flagship products (wild boar terrines, Corsican foie gras) are now sold all over the island, as well as on the mainland.

Baskets of Corsican products are made up for Christmas and the festive season. Casabianca terrine and foie gras, complemented by a bottle of Corsican wine, nougat and other Corsican products of your choice, to please any occasion.

You'll find Casabianca preserved terrines and foie gras all over Corsica in supermarkets such as Casino, SPAR and U Utile in the major towns of Ajaccio, Porto-Vecchio, Bastia, Borgo, Calvi and Ile Rousse, as well as in village supermarkets.

The flavours of Casabianca can also be found on the continent at the Longueil grocery shop in Paris, a renowned establishment for over a century, as well as at Casa Nino, also in Paris, at 212 rue saint Martin 75003.
