Born 6,000 years ago in the Mediterranean basin, beer is the oldest alcoholic beverage. In Corsica, it was in 1992 that a young couple – Dominique and Armelle Sialelli – decided to combine their love of Corsica with this beverage, which had never been produced on the island before.

La Pietra is the result of this project, which came to fruition in 1996. Its name refers to Dominique's native village of Pietraserena. The brewery, located in Furiani near the stadium, offers guided tours for groups during the summer.

The Acqua Bianca spring

The family business is located above the Acqua Bianca spring in Furiani, benefiting from the quality of its water, a fundamental criterion for producing high-quality beer.

100% craft beer

This is a 100% craft brewery with an unchanged recipe that carefully selects high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, such as Corsican chestnut flour, which is the hallmark of a beer unique in the world. The brewery also has a yeast cellar where fermentation takes place, ensuring consistent quality.

At Pietra, the team is made up of professional, qualified brewmasters who oversee every step of production. Malt is transformed into beer wort through the saccharification process, a sweet juice that is then fermented by yeast to create beer. These biochemical processes require both skill and expertise.

The Pietra range of beers

Over nearly 30 years, the Pietra brewery has expanded its range to include 14 beers, including the two latest additions: Nucella, a hazelnut beer made with Cervione IGP hazelnuts, and Chjuca, a bottom-fermented blonde beer.
